Pharos Printing

These instructions work for CUPS. You should be able to install CUPS using most major package managers.

In /etc/cups/, there should be a file named printers.conf. Edit this file (as root), and add the following text:




Info [type of printer, i.e. HP LaserJet 4300]

Location

DeviceURI lpd://pharos.oberlin.edu/Burton [or wherever the printer is]

State Idle

StateTime ?

Accepting Yes

Shared Yes

JobSheets none none

QuotaPeriod 0

PageLimit 0

KLimit 0
